Floodlit Tennis
The matches are played on Friday evenings 7–10 p.m. A prompt start is required to avoid matches remaining unfinished.
There are three teams which have been made as even as possible, each player having a number (1, 2 or 3) to help with the pairings and completing the scorecard.
The captain of each team must check his/her players are available the week before the match. If any are not available, the captain must arrange a stand-in of a similar standard, (people on the Reserve List must be asked first but, failing that, from another team).
The captain of the first-named team for each match is to collect the balls from Gordon and arrange for food and drink to be available - wine, bread, cheese, biscuits etc to a value of approximately £20.00. This cost should be recovered from the fees collected (£4 per head) and the balance paid to Sheila. A key for the floodlights will be made available to each Captain. If the Captain is unable to play, please ensure that the key is passed to another member of the Team.
