Message from Hazlemere Sports Association
As you know, your tennis club membership includes membership of the Hazlemere Sports Association (HSA) and, as such, you will be able to enjoy the facilities of the almost complete new pavilion. As members of the HSA, you can receive information and updates from the association by sending an email to John Horton at hazlemeresports@btinternet.com confirming you are a member of the tennis club and would like to be added to their mailing list.

I am delighted to be able to inform you that the tennis club was, this week, awarded LTA Clubmark status.
This is as a result of many hours of hard work and devotion to the club by a small team led by Sue Hayes and comprising Guy Britton, Steve Hollings, Andy Carter and Iris Layman.
We had agreed at the last AGM that the pursuit of this coveted status was worth undertaking and therefore we should feel proud that we were one of the first clubs in Buckinghamshire to be granted this award by the LTA.
What does this mean to you and the club as a whole?
As you will recall, we agreed to develop the club in terms of membership levels, tennis quality, facility improvement and junior development and opportunity. In order to achieve this, investment in the club will need to be made.
The achievement of Clubmark facilitates this journey.
Clubmark allows us to be highlighted on the LTA website as an approved club to join thereby helping drive membership.
Clubmark allows us to work with a number of dedicated and exclusive local schools as coaching centres and membership feeds.
Clubmark gives us access to funding (up to 75%) for tennis improvement projects such as floodlights, practice wall.Clubmark give us access to grants for Junior development - a crucial driver for club viability.
Clubmark helps to monitor and motivate our levels of tennis quality through competitive matches at all ages along with other KPIs.
Clubmark status will help us to market the club aggressively.
Please join me in congratulating Sue and the team in the achievement of the recognition of the club's activities and this fine award.
On a final note of development - following Carolyn's investigation into the clubhouse redevelopment we will be sharing with you the plans for this in the very near future once final details are agreed with the builder.
Keep playing tennis and see you soon.
Kind regards
Kev.
